High nailing, overdriven nails and short nails are common on volume builds and they show up as shingles sliding or blowing off in the first big wind. It is a workmanship claim against the installer if the warranty is still live.

This is most common in homes built since 2000. PEX on slab, 200 amp service, builder-grade equipment that reaches end of life across a whole street at once.
